1. High hydrogen production capacity



The hydrogen production capacity of this PEM electrolyzer is 200Nm3/h per cell, which means it can meet large-scale industrial applications and provide solid support for the accommodation of clean power.



 



2. Low energy consumption



While focusing on high productivity, this electrolyzer also highlights its energy efficiency. Its DC power consumption is only 4.3kWh/Nm3, which consumes far less energy than traditional electrolyzers. This design reduces production costs and also demonstrates a commitment to sustainable development.



 



3. Upgraded hydrogen purity



The purity of hydrogen is more than 99.9% before purification, which can be elevated to more than 99.999% after purification. This high-purity hydrogen is critical for applications to fuel cells and other fields.



 



4. Stable working parameters



4.1 Working pressure: The working pressure is 3.0 MPa, ensuring that the hydrogen produced is at 3.0 MPa, which can adapt to the needs in different scenarios and reduce the cost of further pressurization.



4.2 Working temperature: At an operating temperature of 70±5℃, the electrolyzer is outstanding in terms of stability and adaptability.



 



5. Power fluctuation range



Power adjustment range is from 5% to 110%. The wide range of power fluctuations allows the electrolyzer to run despite drastic fluctuations in the power system.



 



6.Quick start technology



Short duration of hot and cold starts: A cold start only takes less than 5 minutes, reducing the duration of production stagnation. Producing green hydrogen from wind and solar power: Used for the scenarios of green hydrogen produced from large-scale wind power generation, photovoltaic power generation and wind-solar complementary power generation projects to reduce the curtailment of green power.

Advantages:



1.We have the advantage in the large-scale hydrogen production from wind, solar and green power. To meet the demand for new scenario of large-scale hydrogen production from wind, solar and green power, we have developed the hydrogen production equipment with a capacity of 1,000 Nm³/h and the all-in-one hydrogen production system made up of four 1,000 Nm³/h units by selecting core materials such as highly active and stable electrodes, membranes with high air tightness and low surface resistance, modified PTFE sealing gaskets, and using CAE simulation for the analysis and optimization of the flow field structure of the electrolyzer, of which the key parameters rank top in China. In 2023, we won a bid for Da'an Wind and Solar Green Hydrogen Synthesis Ammonia Integration Demonstration Project of Jilin Electric Power Co., Ltd., which involved two all-in-one hydrogen production systems made up of four 1,000 Nm³/h units each, as a significant supporting force for the operation of the Project.



 



2.We have the advantage in independently developed and manufactured BOP systems. We conduct the R&D and design of BOP system on the basis of chemical engineering calculation data, which aims for easy installation, reliable operation, safe work, and a shorter period of installation, to ensure that the BOP system is highly adaptable to fluctuating operating power during the hydrogen production. The development and experimental verification of 100 to 6,000 Nm³/h separation and purification systems are completed, which are applied in a number of market projects. Customized BOP system services are available to meet the specific needs of customers.



 



3.We have built and put into operation a 20MW-class all-in-one electrolyzer testing platform covering performance testing, control optimization, reliability verification and other functions, which has passed HAZOP, SIL, QRA and other safety assessments and lightning protection risk assessment. This platform can fully meet the needs for comprehensive tests of alkaline electrolyzers and BOP systems, which has run for thousands of hours in total, providing important data support for the prompt verification and iterative upgrading of electrolyzers, BOP systems and auxiliary equipment products.



 



4.We have the advantage in intelligent manufacturing of large-scale equipment. Relying on the advantages of SANY Group in intelligent manufacturing and quality assurance systems, we have built automated production lines for 2GW electrolyzers, being the first to make a breakthrough in the core processes of automatic feeding, automatic argon arc welding, automatic resistance welding, pipe prefabrication and high-precision stacking, which has significantly improved the manufacturing quality of hydrogen equipment. We have established a comprehensive manufacturing process standard guidance system covering the entire process of hydrogen equipment manufacturing to ensure that the process meets the regulatory requirements.



 



5.We have the advantage in synergy of wind power, solar power, hydrogen, stations and vehicles. SANY Hydrogen Energy Assembly Workshop



Spanning a remarkable 216 meters in length and 72 meters in width, our assembly workshop encompasses three distinct zones over a total area of approximately 15,000 square meters. Zone A is dedicated to our machine processing line, slated for utilization in 2024. Zone B houses our hydrogen refueling station assembly line, boasting an annual capacity of 20 sets of hydrogen refueling stations. Meanwhile, Zone C accommodates our hydrogen-producing equipment assembly line, with an annual capacity of 2GW alkaline water electrolyzers. The construction of this state-of-the-art production line commenced in January 2023, swiftly reaching completion and full operation by March 2023, a testament to SANY's remarkable agility and prowess in equipment manufacturing.



 



1. Electrolyzer Assembly Station

This station is meticulously designed for the final assembly of electrolyzers, featuring five sets in total. Each set employs a flexible design capable of meeting production demands of up to 3,000 Nm3/h. Equipped with hydraulic hoisting platforms and screw drive lifters, these assembly stations facilitate assembly requirements at heights ranging from 0 to 7.5 meters. The precise stack assembly is ensured through advanced techniques such as positioning pins and sophisticated 5-line laser leveling. Additionally, an 18-axis hydraulic tensioner streamlines the tightening process, eliminating inefficient actions and doubling efficiency.



 



2. Gasket Cutter

Employing aerospace-grade aluminum honeycomb adsorption panels, the gasket cutter utilizes profiling tools, negative pressure vacuum, and infrared calibration to achieve precise fixing and positioning of gaskets. The combination of vibrating and milling cutters ensures accurate hole, groove, and step surface processing, resulting in a final product with an impressive overall accuracy of 0.5 mm.



 



3. Pipeline Prefabrication Area

This area encompasses pipe cutting, bending, welding, and pre-assembly. Pipe cutting involves band saws, beveling machines, and semi-automatic cutting and beveling integrated machines, catering to pipe diameters from 0 to 400 mm. Two sets of CNC bending machines handle pipe bending requirements from 0 to 40 mm with exceptional accuracy. Fully automatic pipe welding machines fulfill welding needs for various pipe configurations, employing argon arc welding technology for superior speed and quality. German-imported weld seam cleaning machines ensure impeccable weld seam treatment, surpassing traditional methods in oxidation resistance and environmental friendliness. Specialized combination fixtures enable offline batch pre-assembly of pipe assemblies, meeting the rigorous demands of large-scale production for the separation and purification system.
